Asian Pacific American Women National Summit Announce Keynote Speakers


The Center for Asian Pacific American Women (The Center) is holding its National Leadership Summit on September 23 and 24, 2011, at the new Westin Memorial City Hotel in Houston, Texas. The 2011 Summit theme is Return to Your Center; focusing on building leadership capacity across all areas of life.

Workshops and panels cover career development skills, financial and business savvy, health, and other issues of concern to Asian American and Pacific Islander (AA/PI) women. The featured keynote speaker of the conference's first day is Rohini Anand, Senior Vice President and Global Chief Diversity Officer of Sodexo. Peggy Nagae, Program Director, The Center for APA Women will speak on Whole Person Leadership during the opening plenary session. Chloe Dao, winner of Project Runway 2, will address attendees at the Friday night, Marketplace Reception.

Workshops at the Summit include offerings such as Building Business and Social Savvy; Mental, Emotional & Physical Health; Global Energy - A World of Difference; and Nuts and Bolts for Emerging Leaders: What Kind of Leader Do You Want to Be?

Participation in the Summit and the workshops is open to everyone. Early Bird registration, which ends Aug 30, is $225. General registration is $300, and for students registration is $150.
